Designed the structure to test ballbot load-bearing capability

Utilized Solidworks Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Simulation in designing an aluminum extrusion structure to hold 50 lb weight plates to simulate ballbot weight carrying scenario

Design of Electronic Housing

Applied Design for Assembly (DFA) in iterating the electrical housing design  enhanced mechatronics mounting locations, and created space for wire management

Unconventional Motor Configurations

Designed new motor configuration to better control the spherical wheel

Used Solidworks and Topology Optimization for twisted angle motor configuration to better control longitude motion of the ball, modified the bearing housing design to enlarge its loading capacity with mounting guidance of bearing fits and clearances
